This Privacy Policy explains how the Notion Time Tracker Chrome extension (the “Extension”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) collects, uses, and safeguards information when you use it. By installing or using the Extension, you agree to the practices described here.

1) Who we are

2) What this policy covers

This policy applies only to the Extension and its local operations in your browser and to the data it writes to your own Notion workspace via Notion’s public API and OAuth. It does not cover your use of Notion generally (governed by Notion’s own terms and privacy policy) or any other websites or services.

3) Data we collect and why

We collect and store the minimum data necessary for the Extension to function:

• OAuth credentials from Notion
  • What: Access token and related metadata issued by Notion after you consent via OAuth.
  • Where: Stored locally in your browser using Chrome’s storage APIs.
  • Why: To securely authenticate and allow the Extension to read/write to the Notion database you select.
• Your selected Notion database identifier
  • What: The ID of the database you choose for logging sessions.
  • Where: Stored locally in your browser.
  • Why: To know where to save your time entries.
• Time tracking inputs you create in the Extension
  • What: Start time, end time, duration, and optional fields like client or project.
  • Where: Sent to and stored in your own Notion workspace, in the database you selected. Not stored on our external servers.

We do not collect analytics, behavioral data, or personal data on external servers. The Extension has no external backend.

4) How we process data

• Local only: OAuth tokens and configuration are kept locally in your browser’s storage. You can clear them anytime by removing the Extension or clearing the Extension’s data in your browser settings.
• To Notion only: Time entries are written directly to your Notion workspace via the Notion API using your token. Data is subject to your Notion workspace’s access controls and Notion’s own policies.
• No sale or sharing: We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties.
